Please fill us in on your band's current activity status and whereabouts.

:K:> Dawn of Ashes was formed and based in 2001 out of Los Angeles Ca and has been going strong through out the years.

How did your paths come together, wherein you eventually chanced upon getting signed to a major company that is Noitekk Records?

As far as our major record label,
we decided to go with a label that best suited our genre of music. We had a lot of choices but decided to go with NoiTekk in the end. We are very pleased with our decision.

Do you ever make contact with your fellow labelmates such as Grendel, Psyclon Nine and Tactical Sekt to name a few?

:K:> I am great friends with many of the dark electro artist on our labels and as well as others.

Does Noitekk's shadow happen to impose a somewhat controlled state over your musicality, or are you given boundless freedom to push your own unique artistry at will?

:K:> We chose the way that DOA image and music is and always will be, no matter what label we are represented by, we will always remain a brutal electronic music act based on horror and violence.

What about COP International? Do you mind telling us about how you stumbled into their territory as well?

:K:> COP International is a very good label to be on in the USA. They work hard and they have great pride for their bands. We feel very comfortable to be on Cop and can't wait to work further in the future with them.

Where do you guys plan to branch out in the near future, or have you already laid plans yet regarding the most ideal music scene to be situated in?

:K:> Well, we have always been in CA and Los Angeles.
Nothing has really changed.

Are you connected with any other artists under more specific genres, even on a global scale?

:K:> We have our connections with all types of artists throughout the USA and Europe, So saying if we have connections in Los Angeles with other forms of dark music is kind of vague.

What have been the current modifications to the DoA' line up?

:K:> Well, recently we had to let go of one of our band members Joey(Tekk). Which was very upsetting but we ended up replacing him with our new female member, Rayne and now are very pleased with the results.

What were the chain of events that occurred in-between 2001 and 2005?

:K:> Lots of progression and hard work. It was a time where the good and the bad took place.

What is your purpose for getting involved with numerous institutions in the music industry, that most recently you have collaborated with a so-called "Gravitator" entity?

:K:> This was a decision that was made by our major record label but ended up being good for Russia, since the distribution for music in Russia I believe is some what difficult. So as long as our fan base spreads through out the world, it doesn't matter to us.

About your songs, is there any similarity in your approaches with counterpart outfits?

:K:> Well, in our genre: Suicide Commando, Aslan Faction, VAC, and others.

Give us an brief introduction into your "In the Acts of Violence" offering.

:K:> This album was a creation of the darkest and most vile form of my mind. Unleashing all my hatred and violent feeling. Plus my strong influence with horror films. Dawn of Ashes material is main made to create aggression and energy. So the material in "In the acts of violence" was meant to give the fans the aggression that the want to hear.

Do you play music by popular demand or would you rather go about experimenting with unpredictable soundscapes?

:K:> I feel being open minded and not limiting yourself with music and the business side of music is very important. So we try not to focus on a specific genre or rule out our fan base. If you like it, you like it...if you don't oh well.

Any noteworthy compilation albums you're on, both in the past and present periods?

:K:> We have been on many compilations, I can't name the all but we have been featured on a fair share of them.

Have you ever done any tours so far? What do those "Upcoming Shows" in your website stand for?

:K:> We are working on tour dates now and plan on keep touring but that's all in the works. Our live show is very important to us and fans want to see us live.

What are your hopes and aspirations for the future state of Dawn of Ashes?

:K:> To reach the top and don't let the negative sides set us backwards. Only to move forward and let the future take it's coarse.

Your final message please. Thanks a lot for your time.

:K:> Thanks for the support and we will not let you down. There is more in store for DOA.
